Computer Application in Management
Course Synopsis
This is an introductory course targeting to create awareness on various popular computer applications which are being used in organizations. Application such as accounting management, communications, and project management will be covered in this course. In addition, students will also be exposed to proper method of report writing, data gathering and compilation, as well as database management. The students will also be exposed to the methods in converting data to charts and graphs, preparing presentations, and presenting data. Besides using Internet applications, the students are required to build and maintain simple web pages.

The use of several tools in conducting fun and enjoyable activities during lessons:
- YouTube videos : a compact explanation of the lecture slides tailored to the course
- Quizizz : quick check on students understanding of the selected topics through Quizizz as it motivates the students to compete among them
- Mentimeter : quick way to get students’ responses
- Padlet : collaboration among the students on selected topic discussion
- REV-OPOLY : an online based AR board game developed for this course to be played in a group of at least 4 students through Webex breakout sessions
- CAMPOLY : a Unity web based board game developed for this course to be played in a group through Webex breakout sessions
- Collaboration tool : use of Google Drive to share files among the students in completing group project
- Presentation tool : use of PowerPoint, Canva, Prezi, Webex, Google Meet, Zoom and other recording tools to be explored by the students
